Pink - School District #5 shows a school SW 1/4 of Sec10 on the C. Patterson farm at the corner of Breton and 28th. This school was still standing until about 1970 when it was replaced by an emergency clinic.

c. 1914 a new school is built on Alger east of Easter and renamed Alger.
Old school becomes Seymour Christian and is moved to Nevada street. .
School was annexed by the City is best known as Alger.

The 1907 Ogle map shows this school right across the street from the James
Murphy Farm.
This school was called the Murphy School then the Schumann school and this is
the school my dad attended.

The county poor farm on Section 16 is surrounded by the H B Rathbun heirs. I
wonder if Rathbun did a switch-a-roo resulting in a relocated Poor Farm?)
