City of Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan Township/section lines superimposed on a 1907 map of the City of Grand Rapids
Township section lines superimposed on a 1920 map of the City of Grand Rapids. Note: The map I copied at the library was distorted. The City of Grand Rapids annexed land (schools and cemeteries) from four townships: Walker Grand Rapids Twp Wyoming Twp Paris Twp There is an error on the GRT portion of this map. It shows a section of four streets Rosewood, Holmdene, Lawndale and Elbourne lying just east of Plymouth and south of Lyon. This is not accurate. Holmdene and Lawndale lie west of Plymouth while Elbourne was an old name for Plymouth. Rosewood doesn't ring a bell at all and I assume the name was changed before it was annexed to the City. I haven't gotten to the county changes, yet. This map is NOT the 1907 Ogle map, for that see 1907 Ogle
Special thanks to Lindsay Lokers who knew how to reduce these maps. Lokers Shoes - Shoes That Fit in Holland Michigan
