Essay - "an analytic or interpretative literary composition dealing with its subject from a personal point of view"

I have to take a side-step here. I went to a web site claiming to be an historical site but in reality it has a political agenda which is okay if they admitted it. They put up historical information that I could follow until it suddenly took a turn off the radar. I repeatedly asked them to explain their logic but they repeatedly refused to do so. Instead they attacked the Religious Right, whoever they are, and attacked individuals by name, none that meant anything to me. So that response made no sense. As I was working on my history of the local schools, I was researching the Northwest Ordinance of 1787 and the Land Ordinance of 1785. Since they purported to be an historical site, I asked them specific questions about these two laws which they could not answer. They only rested on their credentials and the large number of hits they had on their website to prove whatever they said was right even though it was obviously wrong considering the way these laws had been applied locally for 200 years. This site made no sense.  It took me quite a while by reading other emails between other participants to realize they had a political agenda.   But they would not be forthright while they hid their agenda behind a false front. So I will put them here.    HRSepCnS : Hampton Roads SepChurch&State  I have tried to separate my personal thoughts from my historical research so I am not guilty of this digression.  These essay's are my personal point-of-view based on my life's experience.  You are welcomed to disagree.

These essays also may not be a "finished" piece but more like random thoughts. I do not like the direction this country is going and I hope I'm dead before it gets there.
