Tax address 815 Malta, 41-14-20-154-010,  Part of Block 18 of Stewart's Addition and Lots 1-8 of  Meyjes Subdivision.

 

1913 Sanborn map shows vacant land with a written notation by the Assessor "Orthopedic School  Board of Education 2-7-42."  Since this site is extremely hilly, it seems odd as a selection for an orthopedic school.

I live in Michigan and as a kid we got a big box of Christmas tags from my dad's WWII nurse, Ruth Crowley of Mass. I knew we had a photo of her son who served in the navy during WWII but just discovered it again and it gave his first name. So I looked him and Ruth up in the SS death index.

Don't know if he's the right Donald or Ruth but the age and place fit.
