1921 - (There is quite comprehensive construction detail in this issue which I have heavily edited).  Three stories, for 500 pupils, gymnasium, special rooms - industrial arts, an ungraded room for backward pupils, an auxiliary room for the physically or mentally handicapped, a partial-sight class room and a branch library, a nurses' room.  The design is modified Gothic with red brick and Indiana limestone trimmings, three main entrances and a separate entrance to the social center/gymnasium for community use.

Highlights: a $1.6 million addition of a multi-purpose room, three classrooms, restrooms, a kitchen and storage;
roof replacement, $1.5 million to renovate classrooms, offices and restrooms, and install new heating and electric systems, and $157,500 for computer and video equipment.
