Dickinson Street School SE 1/4 Sec 6 Paris Twp Lots 73-94 J F Trout platted for Joseph F. Trout in 1891 by Skeels Plat Boundaries: Dickinson to the north, Madison to the west, Union to the east 448 Dickinson 1921 - (There is quite comprehensive construction detail in this issue which I have heavily edited). Three stories, for 500 pupils, gymnasium, special rooms - industrial arts, an ungraded room for backward pupils, an auxiliary room for the physically or mentally handicapped, a partial-sight class room and a branch library, a nurses' room. The design is modified Gothic with red brick and Indiana limestone trimmings, three main entrances and a separate entrance to the social center/gymnasium for community use. 1921 - additional lots were bought 1921 Annual Report - Old 11th Ward - Lots 77-94 of J F Trout's Addition. with the eventual additions of lots 73, 74, 75, 95, 96, 97 to an extension of Griggs on the south.
