Well now, I have to admit I learned something today from Jan Hulbert, Grand Rapids Twp Clerk. As my dad's family are buried in Martin Cem which I know is in Grand Rapids Twp, I had just assumed they lived in Grand Rapids Twp but Jan just told me no. The school and their farm were not in GRT but Paris Twp or maybe Cascade Twp. Well the Paris Twp government no longer exists and Cascade is rich and hoity-toity. No pig farms there anymore. So I called My Aunt Gwen and she told me Paris Twp and the school name was changed from Murphy to Schumann.
