Second Street 1224 Second St NW
This house looks like it should be a business, maybe because it has a flat roof. The front door faces Valley but it's address is on Second. That only makes sense if it was remodeled at same time re-locating the front door. The real estate card says it has a LR, FDR, kit, bath and two bedrooms. It is set back quite a bit from Valley. Completely remodeled, hardwood floors but carpeted throughout. So it's front door did face Second. It has a Michigan basement, stone foundation, 5 rooms, 2 bedrooms, plus 1 bath, some pine floors, some hardwood floors. Built 1925, estimate. 1900 US Census was the only Thorton Penfield I could find. New
York City Pg 289 line 45 Before the county "leased" the100-year-old grantee/grantor file to local cooperative Burton Abstract company which was purchased by some national uncooperative company which was purchased by somebody-else, who threw it away, it would have been simple and easy to discover when they purchased this house and from whom.
