The first floor had a living room, dining room, kitchen and two bedrooms. The upstairs had three rooms.
When I was a kid the Bitener's owned this house and lived downstairs. They had a daughter older than I who attended St. Isadore's. We used to sit on the porch and try to crack open rocks particularly stones from the Hooper's driveway. Mrs. Freeman, an elderly woman, lived upstairs with her grown son. He would sit half-way up the backyard hill and play his saxophone, melancholy.
