Kent County, Michigan Streets running south and north on section lines: These divisions apply to EACH township throughout the county. Kent County is six-townships long and four townships wide. Every township is divided within vertically by section lines. Each township is separated from each other by a township line except the outermost townships which border a neighboring county and are divided by a county line.
